RECORDING

FOR THE BBC

Oxford High School asked me document Miriam's visit to the school. I have to say, she was a delight to photograph and was as loveable and funny in real life as she is in on screen!

The BBC invited Miriam back to the school to record a new documentary series about her school days. She met with school historian Miss Burton and looked through an array of historical treasures. Amongst the items to catch her was a newspaper review critiquing her performance in Hamlet. You'll have to watch the show Imagine on BBC iplayer to see what it said!

Now in her 80s, Miriam recalled the names of all her fellow students with ease, as well as their parents' professions. She also kept us amused with saucy tales about her teachers!

And did you know that one of her fellow students at Oxford High School was Dame Maggie Smith? Take a look at the class photo below and you may spot her!
