Yesterday, I promised to share the lovely email I received from the family in Greece. Just to give you a little background info, I photographed their daughter's baptism in Oxford in 2021 (spot the face masks!) and they asked if I would photograph their son's baptism in Greece because...

"We absolutely loved your work last time! You were amazing!! We would love to have you with us again. It wasn’t just the artistry behind those photos. It was the moments you captured, your character and personality, your professionalism and your respectful and discreet presence overall while having the warmest smile."

You can imagine how hard it was to decline this amazing opportunity in order to welcome home an over-tired, slightly grumpy ten year old with his dirty washing!

Can you imagine my excitement when I was invited to Greece to photograph the baptism of this little lady's new baby brother? And then can you imagine my dilemma when I realised the baptism was being held at the end of my son's first week-long school trip away from home? I checked all the flights to see if there was a away to welcome my son home and get to Greece in time but alas there were none. So I've been in Mummy-mode today sorting out washing and things but secretly longing to be in photographer-mode enjoying the Greek sunshine! Tomorrow I'll share a lovely email the family sent me from Greece which made me well up! Fingers crossed they have a third baby!

Just a little shout out to all the kids starting or returning to school this week. It amazes me that babies I photographed being christened a few years back are grabbing their book bags this morning and starting school! Where do the years go?

But I'm also excited to get back to schools and nurseries around the UK to capture some exciting PR & Marketing photos for their websites and prospectuses! See the link in bio for more details.

And just like that another school summer holiday i

And just like that another school summer holiday is over! But my goodness have we packed a lot into those six weeks! We've learnt to blow glass; been amazed by the world of banger racing; delved inside Cheddar Gorge; climbed adult-sized adventure playgrounds; had a go at crabbing; visited friends, museums and castles; played the slot machines at the seaside (and nearly overdosed on fish and chips!); seen an amazing science show at the theatre; and sailed down The Thames with the team from Horrible Histories. Not to mention fitting in some amazing photoshoots and a lot of editing. Talking of which, I don't usually edit photos to look unrealistic, but I couldn't resist tinkering with this photo! The family loved it so much they asked for it to go on the front cover of their family album! After all, we’re all superheroes if we look hard enough!

I may have blushed jut a little when I received this lovely email following the Christening at St Paul's Cathedral!

"Thank you so much for capturing beautiful memories of such a special occasion in our lives. You have a lovely demeanour and many of our guests mentioned this as well! Thank you again for being such an integral part of our special day at St Paul's Cathedral!"

For privacy reasons I cannot share any photos of the family or guests, but let's just say it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever!
