MUDDY FEET FOREST SCHOOL
Recently I joined the wonderful team at Muddy Feet Forest School for an exciting bear hunt and outdoor photo shoot in Newbottle Woods, Northamptonshire!
Accompanied by eight excited Forest Tots we trekked through the forest to reach our base. Nestled around the camp fire the children stood transfixed as Alex read Goldilocks And The Three Bears. It really was the perfect way to kick off our teddy bear themed session. Before we knew it, the children were scampering around the forest searching for lost teddy bears. It was lovely hearing their squeals of excitement as they rescued the bears and started to build beds and dens out of sticks, moss and leaves!
TIME TO REFUEL
Despite it being March, it was a bitterly cold day and there were still patches of snow on the ground. So the children distributed cups for hot chocolate, whilst Alex rustled up a fresh cauldron of Goldilock’s porridge!
Refreshed, revived and defrosted, the children played hide and seek around the forest. And I have to say they were extremely good at hiding! The ancient woodland with its huge trees provided the ideal hiding places for their small frames but thankfully my mega long lens soon spotted them and captured some beautiful portrait shots of the children looking extremely relaxed and happy!
CONSIDERATE CORPORATE PHOTOGRAPHY
I love corporate photography work such as this, but it’s even nicer when the client asks me to share the images with the children’s parents! And that was exactly what happened with this shoot! As well as appearing on Muddy Feet’s website and social media pages, the parents also got access to my secure online gallery where they could order a perfect momento for a memorable day!
FOREST SCHOOL ADVENTURES
But Forest School wasn’t over just yet as first we had to run around catching bubbles as they flew amongst the trees! Then, before we knew it, it was time to go down a wet and very muddy slide! The children’s cheers of excitement were loud enough to scare the grizzliest of Daddy bears! The children scrambled through the undergrowth to get to a steep mud slope with a huge muddy puddle at the bottom! They slid, splashed and squealed with laughter as they raced down the hill again and again!

I’m excited to say that Alex was so pleased with my images that she’s asked me to return on a regular basis. I’ll also be available to photograph her Forest School Parties so perhaps I’l get to photograph your little ones as they enjoy themselves in the forest!
