FUN FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT
As soon as I met these brothers for their family photo shoot at Horwood Estate in Milton Keynes, I knew we were going to have fun! Mum had asked me to capture their ‘true spirit’ and ‘brotherly love’ in a series of fun images. She also asked for a selection of portrait shots for the grandparents! And as you’ll see below the boys and I didn’t disappoint her!
JUMPING FOR JOY
To say the boys were full of energy and enthusiasm throughout their family photo shoot would be an understatement! We didn’t stop from the moment we met! From running, to spinning jumps, rugby tackles (OK they did that bit without me!) to pulling lots of funny faces. The result was a collection of beautiful, candid shots that really summed up the boys’ personalities.
KEEPING IT FUN!
We changed locations more than I changed camera lenses, but I find that’s essential with all my family photo shoots! Children get bored if they’re in one place for too long, especially when there’s a camera pointing in their direction!
By moving around from one location to the next, we kept the session fresh and exciting. One minute we were hiding behind gates, then we pretended to be eaten alive by overgrown ivy, and next we raced to see who could run the fastest – I lost! Anyway it worked a treat as they were too busy having fun to even think about pulling a cheesy smile for the camera!
We even managed to sneak in a few classic portrait shots along with lots of fun reportage-style shots.
The result was a lovely collection of images that really reflect the children’s personalities, quirky mannerisms and shhh, don’t tell them I said this, but their ‘love’ for each other!
